Disabled Dogs Paradise
In 2016, Amal was beaten up and paralysed after protecting her puppies from teasing children.
She was the first dog we gave a second life to and inspired us to help others. Now, we care for 50 dogs who have been abandoned, neglected or abused due to their age or disability.
As one of the biggest disabled dog sanctuaries in Europe, we offer 6,000 sq/m of green paradise land, specialist wheelchairs, nutritious food, endless cuddles, and most importantly - veterinary care.

Amal’s Welt e.V. is based in Galicia, Spain and is owned and operated by Daniela and Chris Wengler - a married couple who have dedicated their lives to dogs in need.
Whilst Chris takes care of the yard and volunteer placements, alongside caring for the sanctuary Daniela also works remotely in IT security. This ensures that all donations go exclusively to the wonderful dogs. Financial donations are facilitated through a non-profit set-up in Germany, registration number VR 722205 of District Court Ulm
